SecureVideo Users Get Added Protection and Fewer Scheduling Headaches With These Latest Enhancements
In our Q1 release, we promised that the foundational work on stability, security, and compliance would set the stage for new features. This release starts to deliver on that. These three updates help protect your account and make scheduling smoother for the hosts, schedulers, and admins who keep your telehealth sessions running.
Here’s what’s new:
- Added security when changing your password
- Automatic notifications when a host is changed
- Overbooking and out-of-office alerts for schedulers
Added Security When Changing Your Password
Your account is now better protected when a password gets changed. Before this update, anyone with access to an account could change its password without knowing the current one. Now you’ll need to enter your existing password before you can set a new one.
What this means for your organization:
- Only authorized users can change account credentials
- Unauthorized access is harder, even if someone gets into an unattended, logged-in session
- Stronger protection for patient data, in line with the security standards behind our HiTrust certification
Automatic Notifications When a Host Is Changed
When a scheduler or admin uses the “Change Host” button to move a session to a different host, the new host now gets an automatic email or text letting them know. Before this update, hosts only found out about a reassignment if someone told them.
Why this matters:
- Hosts hear about it right away, with no manual follow-up needed
- Fewer missed sessions caused by communication gaps
- Less admin work for schedulers juggling several providers
This builds on our work to simplify the scheduling process, following features like the Join This Session button.
Overbooking and Out-of-Office Alerts for Schedulers
Schedulers who book sessions from a host’s availability slots will now see an overbooking or out-of-office warning when one applies. That way, conflicts get caught before a session is booked, not after.
Benefits for your scheduling team:
- Scheduling conflicts get caught before they reach providers or patients
- Host availability is clear at the moment of booking
- Patients have a better experience, with fewer rescheduled or double-booked visits
Why These Telehealth Updates Matter
Security and scheduling might seem like separate goals, but both come down to trust. Providers need to know their accounts are protected. Schedulers need to know the right host is informed and available. Patients need to know their visit will happen when it’s supposed to. Each of these updates closes a small gap that could otherwise cause a big disruption.
